The 5-foot-8, 180-pound back from Vorhees (N.J.) Eastern Regional has already taken an official visit to Virginia Tech, and the Hokies are in his top four. Who else made the cut?
"I like Maryland, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Minnesota right now," said Cheeseman. "I've got official visits set up to the three I haven't been to yet, and those schools have just done the best job of recruiting me. They've convinced me that I could fit into their school and their football programs."
Cheeseman will visit Penn State on Dec. 3, Maryland on Dec. 10 and Minnesota on Dec. 17. After three consecutive weekends of official visits, is it safe to say he should have a decision by the end of December?
"That might be pretty safe to say," he said. "But that could change. I'm not going to box myself in, but I will plan on waiting to make my decision until after I've taken those visits, just to be fair to all the schools."
On the year Eastern Regional has a 4-2 record and Cheeseman has scored eight touchdowns. He's also picked off one pass, though he's spent more time on offense than defense.
