Casey looking hard at baseball

Longview, Texas tight end Tate Casey has set a few visits, but he continues to keep his mind on baseball.
“I have set up two new official visits,” the 6-foot-7, 225-pound Casey said. “I had a couple of unofficial visits earlier this fall.”

Casey is going to visit UCLA on Dec. 6 and Florida on Jan. 23. Those two are in addition to a Miami visit for Dec. 12 that was scheduled earlier.
“I really like Miami, UCLA and Florida,” he said. “That is right now. I want to see the schools on the trips.”
Casey had previously visited Arkansas and LSU on unofficial visits.
“I enjoyed my time at both of those schools,” he said. “I’m still looking at them, too.”
No matter what school Casey signs with, they might not know until June whether they have a tight end prospect.
“Baseball will be a big portion of my decision,” the three-star rated Casey said. “Pro baseball is the big question right now. I’m getting my back-up plan ready with college. I’m planning on going to Major League Baseball if the chance is there. And if it doesn’t work out then I can go to college.”
Longview’s season ended last week with a 7-4 record. He finished the year with 15 receptions for 288 yards and one touchdown.
