Canadian DE is receiving interest

Colleges rarely go in search of talent north of the border. However, 2009 features at least one prospect to watch in Canada, 6-foot-6, 249-pound defensive end Brent Urban out of Mississauga (Ont.) Loren Park Secondary.
"I've been hearing from Notre Dame, Southern Cal, Boston College, Tennessee and Michigan State," he said. "Those are just a few of them talking to me.

"I haven't gotten an offer yet. Most of them are waiting on my game film. They want to see that first."
Towards the end of the season, Urban visited one school.
"I attended the Notre Dame-Boston College game," he said. "It was good. The coaches seemed interested in me. I had never seen a college game before, it was very exciting. I liked the whole atmosphere, how loud it was."
Currently Urban claims no favorites.
"I'm going to try to visit as many campuses as I can to see how they stack up," he said. "Academics will be important along with good coaching and school spirit. I'd like to study business in college."
The lineman prospect helped his team to an 8-2 record this past season.
"It was a rebuilding year, we lost in the semifinals," he stated. "I think I did pretty well. I improved a lot, came back with more size and weighed less. That helped me out. I finished with eight deflections, 16 tackles for loss and 10 sacks."
