Calloway sees recruitment pick up

Tere Calloway is slowly picking up offers and after a few upcoming trips the three-star cornerback from Seattle (Wash.) Seattle Prep could be closer to a few more.
Calloway, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound recruit who looked good at the New Level Athletics Elite 7on7 in Las Vegas last weekend, already has offers from Colorado, Idaho, Purdue, SMU and Portland State.

He is talking with UNLV, Oregon State, UCLA, Central Florida and others. Since things are just taking off in his recruitment, Calloway said no frontrunners have emerged at this time.
"Right now I don't have any favorites," Calloway said.
"Everybody has something that intrigues me. They're all great schools and they are programs coming up and that's something I really like because I want to be part of a building program instead of a piece of the puzzle somewhere else."
In Las Vegas, Calloway said he was heading to the Idaho junior day this weekend but Team Washington teammate Kolney Cassel, a three-star quarterback out of Yakima (Wash.) Eisenhower, said he and Calloway were going on a trip to SMU.
It's unclear where Calloway is headed but both programs are involved in his recruitment and it's not expected he'll make a decision soon. Coming up next could be trips to Cal's junior day and an unofficial visit to Oregon.
Calloway attended the recent Washington State junior day but he said he hasn't talked with the Cougars much in recent weeks. He hopes to hear more from them because he's definitely intrigued in that program.
An offer from them would be big.
"It's the hometown school," Calloway said. "Just to know the hometown team wants you to stay home, that's a big thing to me."
