California WR adds another

Saratoga, Calif., star receiver Alex Lagemann impressed enough shortly after the Palo Alto NIKE Training Camp to pick up his first scholarship offer from Cal. His offer list has expanded by another one today when Boise State entered the mix with an official offer.
"I don't know much about Boise State yet," Lagemann, who is 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, said. "But I like the coaches and their emphasis on academics. I also like how they've one of the teams that have won the most games the past few seasons."

Lagemann continues to list Stanford and Cal as teams he's very interested in, but he's open to other programs, too. Arizona State, Washington State, Oregon, USC and Ivy League schools continue to show a lot of interest in him.
Lagemann had 43 catches for 736 yards and eight touchdowns during his 2005 season. He earned first team all-league and was a second-team all-CIF selection. His league also recognized him as its most valuable receiver.
"This has been an amazing few weeks," he said. "I never thought all of this would happen like it has. I'm so excited."
