Carson (Calif.) South Torrance two-way star Davon Brown is one of those players in California that for some reason goes under the radar screen for many schools. But for the teams that do their home work, they find themselves one heck of a player. Brown is one heck of a player that recently added an impressive Pac 10 scholarship offer.

"I just got an offer from Oregon State about a week ago in the mail," Brown, who measured in at 5-foot-8 and 158 pounds at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp, said.
"I'm real excited about the offer. It's from a very good Pac 10 school. I need to call up there and try to talk to the coaches, but I'm not sure which coach is recruiting me there."
Brown said he's been working hard at adding weight and is now in the 166 pound range. He's also been working hard at getting faster and getting even better footwork.
"I want to decrease my speed, get even more agile and powerful," he said. "I'm working hard running track and doing different footwork drills."
Colorado State and San Diego State have also offered Brown and he said they, along with Oregon State, are the main three teams that he's focused on early in the recruiting process.
"I have a good feeling about them," he said. "But I'm going to take my time and have some fun with the recruiting process. I want to see what else develops."
After rushing for 1,300 yards last season, Brown, who can play either running back or cornerback, hopes to break the 2,000-yard mark.
