Cal offers more top recruits

The spring recruiting season is in full swing with camps, combines and various events across the country and the Cal coaching staff is wasting no time sending out a new round of offers to some of the nation's top prospects.
Aziz Shittu is one of the best defensive tackles on the West Coast, if not the country, and the Golden Bears are now on his offer list.

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound prospect was right there with Monrovia, Calif., standout Ellis McCarthy at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp and many believe McCarthy is among the top defensive tackles nationally.
Stanford was considered a leader for Shittu and the Cardinal are certainly still involved but USC, Florida, Michigan and numerous national programs are pursuing him.
Three cornerbacks have picked up offers in Pasadena (Calif.) Muir's Kevon Seymour, McDonough (Ga.) Union Grove's D.J. White and Yuri Wright from Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep whose teammates, wide receiver Leonte Carroo and early five-star candidate Darius Hamilton, a defensive end, have also been offered.
Seymour is one of the hottest prospects in California as he's getting offers from programs across the country, Wright, Carroo and Hamilton play at one of New Jersey's most-storied programs and White has offers from across the Southeast.
Not many offensive linemen are blowing up like Santa Margarita, Calif., recruit Max Tuerk, who also has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah, Virginia, Washington and many others. The Golden Bears are the latest on his list.
Inglewood, Calif., athlete Derrick Woods, who could play wide receiver or defensive back, has landed a Cal offer as well. The Golden Bears join Arizona State, Florida, Miami, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Washington.
Staying in Southern California, Orange (Calif.) Lutheran tight end Christo Kourtzidis, fresh off a visit to Florida State for its spring game, has been offered by the Golden Bears, who are also involved with Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick and Taylor McNamara, two of the other top tight ends in the state.
In Arizona, Cal is going after Scottsdale Saguaro athlete D.J. Foster, who lists Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Stanford, UCLA and USC among his many offers. He's another dual-threat who can excel on offense or defense.
With proven national reach in recent recruiting cycles, the Golden Bears have also offered Centreville, Ohio, defensive end Ifeadi Odenigbo, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound recruit who has Alabama, Boston College, Iowa, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Stanford, West Virginia and many others pursuing him.
