Byers working on trimming his list

Loveland, Colo. offensive lineman Jeff Byers hasn’t reached a decision on which school he will attend. But, he is hoping to get his list trimmed down before long.
“I’m working on narrowing the list down right now,” the 6-foot-4, 280-pound Byers said. “But, I’m not there yet. I want to go over it and make sure I’m really sure about the ones I have before I say anything to anyone.”

Byers, the nation’s No. 1 rated center by Rivals.com, will choose from among his choice of schools, but has listed several consistently over the past few months. Oklahoama, Texas, Alabama, Nebraska, UCLA, USC, Stanford, Michigan, Kansas State, Ohio State, Iowa, Notre Dame, Colorado, and Colorado State have all been mentioned by Byers recently.
“This is a big decision,” the five-star rated Byers said. “I’m checking every angle and talking to anyone who I think might be able to help me with the decision. I’m not going to rush the decision just to get it done. I want to take my time and do it right. I don’t neeed to get it done by a certain date just to get it done.”
Next on Byers’ mind is his final season of high school football.
“We have worked hard this off-season to improve,” he said. “Last year our record wasn’t very good and we feel we can be better.”
