Breaking down the five best 2024 offensive line classes
The 2024 recruiting class is all wrapped up so it’s time to see which teams won each position. Today we continue our position-by-position look at the top classes with the offensive linemen.
NOTE: College transfers are not included in this list but transfers from within the 2024 class – a situation created by the late coaching changes – will be factored into this series.

1. TENNESSEE
Nationally, the offensive line class was the least impressive since the mid-2000s. Only 27 offensive linemen made the final Rivals250, which is the lowest total since the 2005 class. That being said, there were close to 10 programs to put together impressive offensive line hauls in the 2024 cycle.
Statistically, Tennessee finished with the top class of offensive linemen. The Vols were one of three programs to sign four four-star offensive linemen and were the only one among those three to finish with two offensive linemen (William Satterwhite and Bennett Warren) ranked inside the Rivals250.
Along with Satterwhite and Warren, Tennessee signed four-stars Max Anderson and Gage Ginther. Anderson landed at No. 13 and Ginther landed at No. 33 in the offensive tackle rankings. In-state offensive line signee Jesse Perry finished the rankings cycle as a three-star prospect.

2. MICHIGAN
The race for No. 1 and No. 2 here was really close because Michigan did sign an excellent offensive line class. Blake Frazier, ranked No. 82 in the Rivals250, leads the group. The Texas native committed to the Wolverines back in April and never wavered on his decision. The Michigan legacy chose the Wolverines over LSU, Texas, Clemson and Florida.
Four-stars Andrew Sprague, Luke Hamilton and Ben Roebuck give Michigan a total of four four-star offensive linemen in its No. 13 ranked recruiting class. Hamilton, one of the first 2024 prospects to commit to Michigan, and Roebuck are from Ohio.
At 6-foot-8, Sprague is a massive prospect who had plenty of other options including Oklahoma, USC, Notre Dame, Stanford, Nebraska, LSU, Oregon, Penn State and Missouri.
The Wolverines also signed three-star center Jake Guarnera out of Florida.

3. OHIO STATE
The Buckeyes signed four offensive linemen and all of them finished with a four-star rating. Rivals250 Indiana native Ian Moore is the highest-ranked of the group. The guard prospect finished No. 162 in the Rivals250 after turning in a solid performance at the All-American Bowl. Michigan native Gabe Vansickle is the No. 16 offensive tackle in the nation. He originally committed to Northwestern in May of last year before flipping to Ohio State in November.
Twins Devontae and Deonte Armstrong were big-time additions for the Buckeyes. The in-state standouts announced their commitments to Ohio State shortly after visiting the Columbus campus, where they had become regulars. The Armstrongs identified Ohio State as their dream school early in the recruiting process.

4. GEORGIA
The offensive line haul Kirby Smart and his staff are bringing in this year is likely the biggest in the country in terms of raw size. Of their five signees, three-star Malachi Toliver is the smallest and measured in at 6-foot-6, 295 pounds.
Rivals250 prospects Michael Uini (6-foot-8, 325 pounds) and Daniel Calhoun (6-foot-6 330 pounds) are the highest-ranked of the group. Uini was very impressive at the Under Armour All-America Game and Calhoun has already been receiving positive reviews from early practices in Athens.
Georgia pulled off a big upset when it landed four-star Marques Easley out of Illinois. The guard had listed Alabama, Oklahoma and Tennessee as his top three contenders less than a month prior to his commitment announcement in July.
Three-star signees Nyier Daniels and Marcus Harrison are also massive individuals. Both measured in at 6-foot-8 and tip the scales at more than 330-pounds.

5. NOTRE DAME
The Fighting Irish have churned out impressive offensive line prospects for years and Marcus Freeman is hoping this group can continue that success. Guerby Lambert is the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation and ranks No. 37 in the Rivals250. The expectations in South Bend are very high for the Boston native.
Rivals250 guard prospect Peter Jones was a very early Notre Dame commit. The Pennsylvania native chose the Fighting Irish over Penn State and never looked back.
Four-star Styles Prescod decided to stay in-state and commit to Notre Dame in June. Iowa, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Purdue and West Virginia were some of his other contenders.
Despite his three-star rating, longtime Notre Dame commit Anthonie Knapp has a very high ceiling. The Georgia native committed to the Fighting Irish in March and never really entertained any other suitors.
