BCS offer comes for VA lineman
Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor offensive tackle Sam Marshall landed his first BCS offer earlier today. The 6-foot-9, 250-pounder landed the scholarship from the ACC.
"I got an offer from Duke yesterday on my way up to Louisville's camp," he said. "It's definitely good and they are giving me the option to play offense or defense.

"I like the coaching staff and they definitely have very good academics there. I went to their camp two weeks ago."
Marshall has hit up a number of other camps in recent weeks including NC State, Virginia, Kentucky and Louisville.
"They were definitely all good," he said. "Louisville likes my size and I fit in well there. They are still evaluating me. NC State likes me too and they would offer, but are out of scholarships. If one opens up they'll offer me.
"I didn't work out at Kentucky, but Virginia told my coach they are going to reevaluate."
The two-star lineman has one more camp coming up to Virginia Tech in July.
