Bama calls for 2015 linebacker

Brookhaven (Miss.) 2015 linebacker Leo Lewis has seen his stock soar over the last few months and on Wednesday he welcomed word of another big time SEC scholarship offer.
"Well, I talked to Nick Saban," Lewis said. "We had a nice little talk. We talked about the school, the academic facilities, and just becoming a man. He offered me a scholarship. It was great. He was great and he got straight to the point."

Lewis had an idea the offer was on its way after he talked to an Alabama coach last week. However, he was not able to talk to coach Saban and he knew everything at Alabama goes through coach Saban.
While the offer was not a surprise, the conversation and the scholarship definitely caught his attention.
"I'm excited. It's a scholarship from one of the top schools in the country," Lewis said. "They won the national championship three times in the last four or five years. I'm excited about that. I'm real excited about that."
At this early point in the process, Lewis is not ready to declare any favorites or leaders, and he continues to keep an open mind to his options.
He does not know who will be the next to offer at this point, but he does have an idea about a few college campuses he plans to visit in the near future.
"I'm going to Alabama on junior day," Lewis said. "I think it's February 1. I'm going to Mississippi State February 8."
Lewis currently holds offers from Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oregon State, and Tennessee in addition to his offer from Alabama.
