Atlanta NIKE standout picks up offer from Noles
Players are constantly emerging out of the Peach State, it happens every year. One prospect that was on the radar, but not quite as heavily until now is Newnan, Ga. offensive lineman Sergio Render. Render has recently picked up his first two scholarship offers.
“Florida State and Virginia Tech have offered me so far,” said Render. “Florida State came to my school and said that they would watch my film and let me know where I stood. He watched the film and told my coach that they were offering since he couldn’t talk to me directly. Virginia Tech called Sunday night and said my offer was in the mail.”

The 6-foot-3, 300 pound Render made a splash at the NIKE camp in Atlanta when ran the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds and did 30 reps of 185 pounds on the bench press.
“My top six schools are Florida State, Alabama, Clemson, Arkansas, Georgia and South Carolina. I love Florida State and Georgia. I also like Clemson a lot because my uncle played there. I went to the Florida State-Miami game and the Alabama-Georgia game last year.”
Render runs a 5.03 second shuttle time and boasts an awesome 400-pound bench press and 500-pound squat. He also has a 25 inch vertical jump.
“I would like to play close to home if possible. I want a school with great fans, great coaches and great teachers. It takes all of those things to make a school great and a great environment for the players. I also want a chance to work for early playing time because I know it isn’t just going to be given to me.”
He plans to camp at Florida State and Georgia over the summer. He stated that Florida State, Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina and Clemson are all equally recruiting him the hardest.
