Arkansas DT keeps drawing majors

Three-star Little Rock (Ark.) Central defensive tackle Fred Bledsoe says he’s getting so much attention from top programs in recent weeks that he’s had to take a more open approach to his recruitment.
“I never had any idea I’d have all these great schools calling me. It’s been kind of hectic,” he said. “I started out thinking like I’d stay somewhere around here, but I’m totally wide-open now, I’m giving everybody a good look.”

Rated the No. 31 defensive tackle in the nation and on a steady climb, Bledsoe (6-4, 280, 4.9) has offers from Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama and Oklahoma State. He said Florida, Auburn, Colorado, LSU and Oklahoma have also indicated that he may receive an offer in the near future.
He has an official visit scheduled for Arkansas on Dec. 12. He was originally planning to visit Tennessee in December as well, but says that date will be switched to January. He’ll also visit on Jan. 9.
Any idea who will get the other two trips?
“Not right now,” he said. “It depends on who comes through with the offers. I’ve been talking to Oklahoma a lot, though. That could be one of them.”
Bledsoe has helped lead Central to a 12-0 record and the No. 1 ranking in Class 5A entering the state semifinals. He’s recorded 88 tackles, six pass deflections, three sacks and two interceptions this season.
