Anderson looks forward to visits

Frisco (Texas) 2017 Rivals100 to Watch offensive lineman Jack Anderson has already received scholarship offers from across the country, and he is known as one of the more versatile offensive line prospects in the country.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound standout has the ability to play any position on the offensive line at a high level and as a junior-to-be he is already a veteran on the recruiting circuit.

Over the years he has had the opportunity to check out several options, with his most recent being a stop in Lubbock to check out the Texas Tech Red Raiders, a place his father, uncle, and sister have called home.
"We just visited and hung out with the players and coaches and saw their day-to-day lives," Anderson said. "I just like the part where I could see what the players do during workouts and see their classes and tutoring. It was good to see what an NCAA player has to do on a daily basis."
He will attend the Opening in Oregon in early July, and his next college trip will be to Texas A&M on July 27th. He is also very familiar with College Station, with his grandfather David Anderson being an Aggie football player in the 60s and member of the Corp of Cadets Hall of Honor.
"It's the same thing as Lubbock. I've been there a lot of times," Anderson said. "I want to see what they do. My grandfather is high up at A&M. He played football there. So I'm going with him,m so I think it will be good to have that experience with him. He's going to take me up there, and it will be good to have him see some things that he hasn't seen and he will see it with me."
The current plan is to wait to announce a list of top schools until he is able to take more visits, talk to more coaches, and get a better look at more of his options. A top 10 could be released during the season, but right now he is not ready to name a solidified list of favorites.
A top 10 may not be in the works just yet, but he does admit a few schools who have caught his attention.
"Tech, A&M, OU, Miami, Arkansas, SMU those are some schools I have listed on there, but there's a few other schools I want to go visit," Anderson said. "I want to visit Florida and Ohio State, they haven't offered yet but they said they probably will if I go visit. Those are a few more that I want to go see. Alabama the same thing. LSU. I want to go see all those."
He has also already worked hard to develop some strong bonds with a few college coaches.
"Coach Hays at Tech just because he's been recruiting me since after I finished the eighth grade," Anderson said. "When I first went to their camp I started talking to him and we've been close. Him, coach Fry at SMU. He's one of the main reasons I like SMU. He's a young guy and Coach Morris, the same thing. They're a young coaching staff that I think I would fit well in.
"Miami, I like their whole coaching staff. The o-line coach is a good guy. I haven't had time to meet the head coach yet, but I'm looking forward to that. Coach Christiansen at A&M. We're getting pretty close too. We talk on a weekly basis. He's a good guy who really knows what he's talking about. It's good to get to know him better. Those are a few."
Anderson's next stop will be at the Opening in July. He is also already committed to play in the 2017 Under Armour All-American Game, and he is currently a member of the 2017 Rivals100 to Watch.
