The verdict is in. James Foster tried to hold out, he gave other schools a chance to recruit him, but in the end, his relationship with offensive coordinator Josh Heupel was too strong and he has committed to Missouri.

"Missouri has been my top school for a while because of my bond with coach Heupel," said Foster. "He always tells me I am his guy, he has been recruiting me since the 10th grade and I just feel I fit into their offense perfectly.

"He tells me that he wants to air the ball out, throw it all over the place and that is what I want to do in college. I feel he can help me get better and he is the coach who has been recruiting me the hardest for a while now."

A little over a month ago, on March 11, the 6-foot-3, 188 pound dual-threat quarterback out of Montgomery (Ala.) Lanier traveled to Missouri for the first time. That visit really started Foster thinking about his decision.

"When I went up there on my visit, they really rolled the red carpet out for me. They showed me and my mom around and we both loved it. The family atmosphere was strong up there, everyone there treated me like family and I just felt comfortable.

"I sat down with a lot of people and they made me feel so welcome. They welcomed both me and my mom with open arms and the way they treated us really stood out to me.

"I saw the school, I spent time with the people on campus and I loved everything up there."

"They have made me feel like a real priority. Alabama was my dream school and they offered me a little while ago, but Missouri has recruited me so hard. I have been talking with them daily for months and I had even thought about committing to them before.

"I felt at home on my visit to Missouri, I had the strongest connection with Missouri and everything was perfect for me there. My mom wanted me to go somewhere she felt comfortable with and she likes Missouri like I do. She feels good with me going there."
