Vero Beach (Fla.) rush end Keanu Koht committed to LSU July 4, and last week at this time, things looked strong into last week, but as we got closer to the Early Signing Period, things got a little cloudy.

There was some chatter around Florida a couple of days ago, but on Signing Day Eve, the buzz shifted to Alabama. Late Tuesday night there was talk about a potential flip to the Crimson Tide, and how the no. 1 program in Tuscaloosa had made a strong push, and on Wednesday, that hard work paid off.

Koht has flipped to Alabama and the 6-foot-6, 225 pound edge rusher out of Florida is headed to play for Nick Saban.

Alabama is getting another defender with length, quickness and the ability to make plays in the backfield. He shows good quickness off the ball and speed is his biggest weapon. He will still need to develop strength and improve his play against the run, but Alabama is known for player development and Koht has a lot of talent for that staff to work with.
