Action picks up for Joseph
It has been a busy few weeks for Pascagoula (Miss.) three-star defender Keith Joseph Jr. Since competing at the Rivals Camp Series in Hattiesburg, he has taken two trips to Southern Miss, and visited Mississippi State and South Alabama.

In the same time frame he has also added offers from South Alabama, Southern Miss, and Mississippi State to a list which already included Louisville, Arizona State, Cincinnati, and Louisiana-Lafayette.
The most recent offer came from Southern Miss, where he attended the Golden Eagles junior day on Saturday.
"I went up there for junior day and so there were a lot of other prospects out there. But just the opportunity to go there and it's not far away from where I live," Joseph said. "Every time I get the opportunity to go to a junior day or go visit a school I just believe it's a great opportunity and blessing for me. Then they offered me. Coach Monken, I personally talked to him in the office. They have something going on and it's a great school and I believe they're about to come up and see some great things. All the coaches showed they cared about me and it was a great deal. I loved it when I went up there."
Earlier in the week, he received his first SEC offer from Mississippi State.
"When we got there all the coaches - coach Turner, coach Mullen - they all showed love," Joseph said. "I really felt at home there knowing that my dad played there and how they treated me. I believe it was the day after I went to State that they offered me. I believe they offered me the day after. When I talked to coach Turner and he said they talked about it and they did some thinking and the words came out of his mouth that I have an offer."
Next up for Joseph is a trip to ACC country.
"Friday I'm leaving to go to Louisville," Joseph said. "I believe their junior day is this weekend and me an Jaylen Smith, he as an offer from Louisville so we're going to head up there together."
A visit to Ole Miss is in the works as well as a trip to Cincinnati. There are a couple of other schools high on his list he also plans to check out soon.
"Auburn, I really like Auburn. I went to their junior day and it was a nice facility and the coaches…I had a great time up there. It was a great atmosphere," Joseph said. "I haven't gone to FSU but I'd love to go up to FSU because my brother (Mario Edwards, Jr.) plays there. It would be great for me to play with my brother on the other side and just tear it up. it would be a great opportunity. I can't think of all of them but I believe those two schools I'm going to go to some camps and visit them."
Right now Joseph is not in a rush to name his leaders or narrow his focus. He does not have a timetable in mind when it comes to making his decision either. However, he does believe he will know when the time is right and he does not think he will wait to decide on signing day.
"I don't think it's going to go all the way to February. I know a lot of schools are supposed to be coming around in the spring," Joseph said. "I feel like whatever school I have the best connection with, and whatever school I just know deep down inside I want to be there for the next four years and it's a good school. I'm not going to treat anybody different. I'm going to treat each one with respect and see how it goes."
