The Latest: Class of 2017 three-star wide receiver Terrell Carey already has a handful of FBS offers, including one from Big 10 program Purdue. But according to him, he's waiting for another Big 10 school to enter the picture when it comes to his recruitment. Carey is heading to Michigan State this month with hopes of finally securing an offer from the Spartans. Rivals.com caught up with Carey to get the latest.
In His Words: "I went to a game there and they have very high interest in me. They’re just saying they want to see me back on campus before they're ready to offer. They see me as a slot wide receiver and an athlete who can do different things. They want see me on campus and work me out and see how I run and stuff like that. I’ve been talking with Coach Salem quite a bit and we already have a good relationship. I think if I do go there and do well I can get the offer. That would mean the world to me because Michigan State has been like a dream school to me. Just the great players that have been there before and Coach Mark Dantonio is a great person inside and out."
Rivals Reaction: Carey has been taken a slow approach when it comes to his recruitment and for the time being appears focused on improving his stock prior to the start of his senior year. Assuming he can perform up to the standards of the Spartans coaches, an offer could be coming his way. With his high interest in the school already, an offer could really make Michigan State the team to beat going forward.
