The Latest: Class of 2020 linebacker Stephen Dix, Jr. is just starting to emerge as a national level recruit, with offers from the likes of Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan and several others rolling in over the last few months. This summer, Dix is working to get out on the road and check out colleges in person as he continues to acclimate himself with coaches at various programs. Over the weekend, he took part in the Ray Lewis Academy, an event featuring many of the nation's top linebackers. Rivals.com caught up with Dix, Jr. at the event to get the latest on his recruitment.

In His Words: "I have a couple of schools in mind, Clemson and Georgia. But I'm not worried about recruiting that much because I'm young I just want to keep balling out."

Clemson: "I went to Clemson just to look around and see how the campus was and stuff like that. I thought it was really nice. Most of the schools are really professional, have everyone there to meet you and stuff like that. They have a big history of players going to the league and stuff like that so that's big. I got to see all their facilities, it's really cool. I'm really focused on the school and the football team and what they can do to help me get better as a player but the facilities and stuff are just nice."

Fit in Clemson's defense: "Their linebackers have to come down hill and be big hitters; that's what they do there. They told me they only recruit linebackers that really want to hit and I was like 'Coach, that's what I do.'"

Georgia: "I did a private workout with them on campus. I was hanging out with the coaches and stuff like that, talking to them. They want me to play for them, they asked if I thought I could play in their system and I told them yes and they said they think I can, too."

Roquan Smith comparisons: "I saw him play a lot for them last year and he was always making plays. When you see a guy like that have success in a defense it makes you think that you can step in and do it, too. I think I can be just like him."

Other visits this summer: "I'm probably going to camp at Florida. I'm thinking about that."
