The Latest: After helping his team to a state championship victory, capping off a stellar junior season, it’s not surprising that Class of 2018 prospect Tyleek Collins has seen his interest from colleges spike. Collins holds earlier offers from Georgia Southern and Tulane, but it appears likely that several other programs will join his list soon. Rivals.com caught up with electric playmaker to get the latest on his recruitment.

In His Words: “I’ve got a lot of new stuff going on with recruiting. Clemson, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame, Appalachian State and Kentucky are all showing lots of love. I got a lot of invites to take visits during the season but with my games being on Friday nights and the trips being far I decided to wait to take visits. I’m planning on going to junior days at Georgia, Miami and Clemson.”

On Georgia: “An offer would mean a lot, knowing that I can stay home close to family.”

On Clemson: “I camped there during the summer and I liked the campus. Coach Dabo Swinney told me to keep working and my results would be earned so that’s what I’ve been trying to do.”

Rivals Reaction: Collins is an exciting playmaker who will likely break through with some Power Five offers in the coming months. The question is, which schools will step up first? Collins could translate to wide receiver, running back or defensive back at the next level and his performance at on-campus campus this offseason will likely help him find a college home.
