Four-star 2018 wide receiver Kamryn Babb is already thinking about which teams are early favorites to be included on his shortlist of candidates for his commitment, and two recently visited Big Ten programs are among the first to fall into that category.

In mid-June Babb visited Ohio State and Michigan State. The Buckeyes offered following his camp appearance on June 17 in Columbus, meanwhile the Spartans staff had extended its offer to Babb earlier in the month. Babb makes no secret about his interest in Ohio State and said that it will definitely be included in an upcoming top-ten group.

Arkansas is the most recent offer for Babb, who also holds offers from Missouri, Nebraska and Wisconsin, among others.

In his words | Ohio State

“Things have been good with them, they have been looking at me for a while now after this last season,” he said. “I talk with multiple coaches out there; the receivers coach, the offensive coordinator, and they have a really good base out there.”

“Of course, they have Ezekiel Elliott coming out of there and being a big star from St. Louis plays into it,” he said. “Just what they do with their players, the education, and who they send to the league is what I see when I look at them.”

On Michigan State

“It was nice, the last time I was up there I was at one of their camps,” he said. “I didn’t participate, but I was there checking out the facilities, talking with the coaches and meeting the coaching staff.”

“They are doing a lot of good things, but I have a long way to go,” he said. “So I just have to keep my options open, talk to my family and peers, but I like what they’ve been doing up there.”

Rivals Reaction: Babb was a standout player for his St. Louis-based ESA Flight 7-on-7 team at the Pylon National Championships this past weekend in Dallas. He’s already powerfully built and showed good burst and concentration running routes and making catches. Babb is a thicker prospect that should have no problem finding success as a consistent chain-mover. With that, the teams involved with his recruitment all seem to be viable fits for him but choosing the pecking order of the other schools that have offered -- and those yet to have offered -- still seems a ways down the road.

“I haven’t really looked at all my options,” he said. “I’m still not going to decide for a couple of months what my top-ten is but it’ll definitely be coming up.”
