2015 OT adds Big Ten offer

Grant Newsome is quickly becoming one of the most highly coveted recruits in the Mid-Atlantic. The offensive lineman from Lawrenceville (N.J.) Lawrenceville Prep recently added an offer from Northwestern.
"I obviously feel Northwestern is a very good program," said the 6-foot-7, 280-pound Newsome. "They are having a bit of a down year this year but I think they are a strong Big Ten program. They are one of the best academic schools in the country. It is a very attractive opportunity for me. I've been talking on and off with the coaches there throughout my recruitment. It's been basically weekly."

With more than ten offers to his name, Newsome is ready for more schools to throw their hats into the mix.
"I keep in contact with all the schools that have offered," he said. "I'm also in touch with schools like UCLA, Vanderbilt, Stanford and Nebraska.
"Stanford is a great program with great academics," Newsome said. "I think that I have a lot interest in the program. I've been talking with my recruiter a fair amount throughout the season.
"I feel like UCLA and Nebraska are some of the schools that are pretty close to offering," he said. "Those are some of the schools I've been talking to most."
Newsome has remained focused on his team during the season.
"I have not taken any visits lately," said Newsome. "I still haven't decided on any visits for the winter. I'd like to get out and see Northwestern and some of the other schools that have offered."
South Carolina, Penn State, Rutgers and N.C. State are just some of the offers Newsome has accumulated.
