2015 DB Smitherman high on TAMU, Clemson, FSU

After starring at the Under Armour Underclassmen Combine earlier this month, Class of 2015 Adamsville (Ala.) Minor defensive back Maurice Smitherman's already impressive offer list is likely to keep on growing. But for now he has a few schools that are standing out.
"The main ones that I'm really liking are Texas A&M, Clemson and Vanderbilt," Smitherman said. "Of the schools that have offered those are the ones I really like."

With the current situation at Vanderbilt in flux, Smitherman gave his thoughts on the Aggies and Tigers.
Texas A&M: "We haven't talked a lot since they offered me but I know they need some defensive backs and I think I can step up and fill that need. They wanted me to come over and see them practice when they were in Atlanta for the bowl game but I couldn't make it. I'm hoping I can get down there and see what they have to offer soon."
Clemson: "I love their coaches. Me and [defensive coordinator] Coach [Marion] Hobby talk all the time. I went down their for a visit when it was their senior night. It was great. I really liked it. I love the campus there and I know I'm going to go back there for camp."
As far as other schools he wants to make sure he visits, Smitherman said he's hoping to add some more big offers to his list.
"I'm going to go to Alabama, Florida State and Florida, " he said. "Florida State is recruiting me real big but they haven't offered and that's the one I want to get. I'm waiting on like three or four more, Florida, Florida State, Alabama and Auburn, those are the big four for me."
