5-foot-8, 160-pound Class of 2025 Christ Church (Greenville) Jackson Repp said that his visit to South Carolina was excellent and that the Gamecocks are among the top schools in his recruitment in an exclusive with Palmetto Preps.
"The visit was great. It was an electric environment and a great game,” he said.
Repp, who does not have a commitment timeline, said he will need to be 100% sure before making his decision known. But either way, South Carolina currently stands among his top programs. “I want to make an official visit and be 100% sure that this is where I want to be, but they have really impressed me in every way. (Carolina) is right there at the top of my recruitment,” he said.
The Gamecocks are making especially strong impressions on Repp. That is because head coach Shane Beamer and wide receivers' coach Mike Furrey are still big believers in Repp despite a season-ending ACL injury that he suffered against Riverside on Sept. 6.
“Hearing from (Furrey) in person and Coach Beamer and that they both still believe in me and are wishing the best for me and my speedy recovery really just made me think even higher of both of them. I can really feel their support and belief in me, and that is really important to me,” he said.
Repp was able to speak with Furrey at the game. "I was able to catch up with him, and that was great," he said.
The receiver who runs crisp, smooth routes and has great speed put his talents on full display during South Carolina’s 7-on-7 tournament and camp this summer in June and July. He created space between himself and defenders and made several impressive catches. Repp recorded a burning-fast 4.25-second 40-yard dash in front of Gamecocks’ coaches.
He finished with 1,510 yards on 63 receptions in 2023, scoring 23 touchdowns. Fielding jet sweeps from the backfield and returning kickoffs for the Crusaders, Repp totaled 2,393 all-purpose yards and 32 touchdowns. Repp collected All-Region honors and helped his team reach championship glory during his time with the program, capturing consecutive Class A state titles with the Crusaders.
The Gamecocks tendered him an offer on July 31. Carolina and Boston College are the only Power Four programs who have tendered Repp’s services. He has also heard from several Group of Five and FCS programs.
Repp announced the news of the injury on Twitter (X) today.
