Zumwalt gets fourth star

Fast rising linebacker Jordan Zumwalt (6-4, 220, 4.6) from Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison saw his outstanding senior season parlay his three-star status change into a four-star ranking after he racked an astonishing 164 tackles his senior season.
Zumwalt also accounted for 3.5 sacks, three deflected passes, two fumble recoveries and two fumbles caused. What makes his stats so amazing is he accomplished this feat in only 12 games. His senior season earned him Orange County Defensive Player of the Year and League Defensive Player of the Year.

At one time, there were three schools of interest left and he took his official visit to Stanford this past weekend, the school that he has been a longtime commit to.
"Stanford was awesome," Zumwalt said. "I had a very good time.
"We toured the campus and I was accepted by the Dean of Admissions," Zumwalt said. "So I have been accepted into Stanford.
"I won't be taking a trip to USC," Zumwalt said. "I told them that I'm no longer interested.
"I told USC that today (Thursday Jan. 21)," Zumwalt said. "I'm still committed to Stanford."
In addition to his four-star ranking, Zumwalt moved into theRivals.com Rivals250 team for the class of 2010. He is now ranked by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 205 prospect at any position. He is also a member of the Rivals.com California Top 100 landing as the Golden State's No. 56 prospect at any position.
