Zumwalt adding offers

Huntington Beach (Calif.) Edison linebacker Jordan Zumwalt continues to have a very busy spring. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder has picked quite a few offers already and more offers like Washington received on Monday and then Stanford received today continue to pad his resume.
It's a resume that already included teams like Arizona State, Colorado, Washington State and Boise State and is expected to get even better as more schools visit during the spring.

"Everything is going good," Zumwalt, who impressed at the NIKE Training Camp in Los Angeles, said. "I'm just working hard, trying to get stronger. I was offered by Washington, yesterday, and then Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh offered me today."
Both offers were exciting for him.
"I liked them," Zumwalt said. "I had been talking to (Washington assistant) coach Nick Holt since he was at USC. With all the coaches moving up there to Washington from SC, I think the school is headed in the right direction. At Stanford, the coaches know what they are doing. I'm going to go up there and visit with them in May."
Zumwalt doesn't seem like he's in a huge rush to make a final decision.
"Before I commit I want to make sure I see everything a school has to offer," he said. "I want to see Oregon, Cal, Washington, hopefully Boise State, Colorado, gosh, there may be a few more. It's something I'm going to have to sit down and decide."
Don't be surprised if he has a busy summer visiting schools.
"Time is really hard to come by now, but once summer rolls around and I have time I'll have a better idea of what I want to do," he said. "I plan on making a lot of trips this summer."
He's already taken one visit that impressed him quite a bit.
"I really like Arizona State," he said. "But I want to see everyone before I commit.
"I actually got to visit Arizona State while I was on spring break with my family. We went to Arizona and went wakeboarding and jet skiing. So while we were over there, we called and made sure everything was Ok if I came and checked the school out. The coaches were more than pleased to welcome me. I got to go see the campus, meetings and practice. It was really neat."
"I talked with coach (Dennis) Erickson and coach (Matt) Lubick. My dad and mom both went to Arizona State. My dad actually played there and was a part of their only Rose Bowl champion team in 1986."
With great family ties to ASU, is there any pressure on him to sign with the Devils?
"Right now, (my dad) is just saying play the recruiting game out," Zumwalt said. "At first, he wanted me to get it over with, and was saying you have to commit to ASU, but once he got a feel for everything he told me to wait and make the right decision."
