Zook talks to Ayers about starting

Bennettsville (S.C.) Marlboro County four-star linebacker Robert Ayers is back from Florida. So how did trip No. 3 compare to Tennessee and N.C. State?
“It was fun,” Ayers, who is 6-foot-3 and 218 pounds, said. “It was about the same as the Tennessee visit. I really liked both of them quite a bit.”
Ayers, ranked as the nation’s No. 10 inside linebacker by Rivals.com, said he was hosted by Channing Crowder.

“Everything was fun around him,” Ayers said. “We did the running out of the tunnel thing and talked to everybody around about the team and the players. I also talked to coach Zook. He was telling me about how they need linebackers and how much I would be able to play as a freshman. He also told me about what it would take for me to be a starter there as a freshman.”
Ayers said he’s now going to debate on whether or not he’ll take his previously scheduled visit to Florida State next weekend.
“I don’t know if I’m going to visit now,” Ayers said. “I think I’m going to sit back and think things over. I don’t know. It’s a probability that I’m not going to take it.”
