Zona adds talented Texan

Dallas Hillcrest three-star strongside defensive end Braylon Broughton has been rumored to be a Arizona commitment since last Friday, and after days and days of not talking about his final decision the 6-foot-6, 240-pounder is ready to come clean.
"I have committed to Arizona," Broughton, ranked as the nation's No. 59 strongside defensive end, said. "I actually did it back on Friday. I told both Mark Stoops and Mike Stoops that I was coming. I just needed some time to tell the other schools."

The other schools included Iowa, a place he made a soft commitment to after a December 9 official visit. He was also being heavily recruited by Kansas, Iowa State, Arkansas, Oklahoma State and TCU.
"Arizona just felt like the right fit for me when I took my visit," Broughton said about his January 13 official visit to Tucson. "It's an up-and-coming program, and I'm excited about my future there."
Broughton recorded 50 tackles and three sacks in his junior season. He was a repeat all-district pick in 2005.
