Zips about to add Florida commit

Valrico (Fla.) Durant offensive tackle Michael Cannon had a busy schedule set over the next month and a half, but it may be all-for-not after his visit to Akron over the weekend.
"It was real nice," Cannon said. "I was hosted by Chris Kimmy, who was a true freshman starting at right tackle this year. Their facilities really shocked me. They have a big field house with a full field and a real nice campus."

Cannon did not spend all of his time on campus, however. The Akron coaches managed to throw together a trip to Canton, Ohio, on Saturday.
"We got to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame," he said. "It was pretty nice to see it. It was my first time to ever have the chance."
On his way home from the visit Cannon spent time reflecting on his trip. One thing is for sure – there is a new leader.
"Right now (Akron) is my No. 1," he said. "I'm pretty close to making my decision. I'll be talking it over with my parents and probably make a decision some time this week."
Cannon is scheduled to visit New Mexico on January 13.
