Zeller keeping things open

We are now several months into the recruiting process for the current class of rising seniors and Andrew Zeller has to be happy with the position he finds himself in.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle from Red Lion, Pa. is sporting offers from Duke, Maryland and Rutgers, and he has visited all three schools recently.

"I had a good time at Duke and I've gone to Connecticut and Maryland," he pointed out. "I went to Maryland twice -- once for a junior day -- and I went to Connecticut for a junior day, too. The other time to Maryland was just an individual tour of the whole campus and to watch a spring practice.
"I haven't set my (summer) schedule yet but I'm going to be working on that with my coach. A couple of schools have said they want me to go to their one-day camps. A couple of them have said once they come to my school and see me they'll think about offering me. My coach said they'll run me through some drills."
Zeller said he would like to take some official visits early in the fall but not much later. That's because he wants to make a decision between the start of his season and mid season.
He said he does not have any favorites at this stage in the recruiting process.
"All the schools are great schools and each have individual things that make them stand out from the rest," he added.
Oregon is one of the schools recruiting Zeller that has not offered. He said the Ducks are recruiting him as a defensive tackle, while many others like him as an offensive lineman.
"I really like defense but football's football," he said. "Offense is great, too. It's a key part of the game."
