Zeke Pike to announce Wednesday

Fresh off a spring break visit last week to several schools in the southeast, Edgewood (Ky.) Dixie Heights quarterback Zeke Pike is ready to make his college selection. The 6-5, 235-pound prospect has narrowed his list to eight schools and will announce his selection later this week.
"He has decided to commit on Wednesday at Dixie Heights High School at 2:15 p.m. in the auditorium," Pike's father, Mark Pike, reported Monday morning.

Mark Pike also said that eight teams remain in the running for his son's services, and they are Clemson, Michigan, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Purdue, North Carolina and Georgia.
Pike utilized his spring break to visit Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and Tennessee last week. Prior to that he had made trips to Arkansas, Michigan, Purdue, LSU, North Carolina and Virginia.
In his junior season, Pike completed 58 percent of his passes for 2,218 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also ran for 1,072 yards and 17 additional scores. He has already been selected to play in the 2012 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
