Zeke Correll has his TV ready to take to South Bend

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla.Zeke Correll is a sharp young man. He grew up a big Kentucky fan with family connections to the school in Lexington, but Notre Dame got the four-star on campus and won him over early.

He feels South Bend is the best fit for him on and off the field and he moves there early in January.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

"It was a great season for Notre Dame," said Correll. "I think their best game was against Syracuse. I liked how they played this season overall. I was at one game and it is a great atmosphere. I am blessed to have the opportunity to go to a school like Notre Dame and to step into a football program that is playing great right now in two weeks.

"The people there are what set Notre Dame apart for me. They are kind, welcoming and just my crowd. The players are blue-collar like me and the ego was much bigger at other places. It was just the right crowd for me to be around. It really fit me. The God factor as well. I was raised in a Christian household, so that was a big key too.

"With our recruiting class, we have group text and SnapChat that we use every day. We have an offensive group text separate too, so we have all gotten pretty close. My roommate is going to be offensive tackle Andrew Kristofic and we have gotten pretty close. He is bringing the mini fridge and I am bring the TV, so we are ready to go.

"If I am being honest, I think we have the best offensive line class in the country. Coach Quinn wanted four guys and he got all four, so I think our group is the best out there.

"Coach Quinn wants me to play center. I played guard in high school, but being an early enrollee, I have already started working on playing center. It has gone a little smoother than I thought it would. I am going to have to learn the position and playbook as fast as I can. Definitely making the reads and the calls before the snap will be the toughest thing at the center for me I think. I am ready for it.

"Going from playing in front of 2,000 to 80,000 will be a shocking experience for me. I am looking forward to it. I am ready to get in the weight room, better myself each day, get in the classroom and just improve myself overall there."
