As expected, South Carolina landed another defensive back prospect for the 2017 recruiting class today.

Athens (Georgia) Clarke Central's Zay Brown earned a scholarship offer from the Gamecocks this summer. After nearly making his commitment official late in June, Brown pumped the brakes in favor of finalizing things in July.

He went public with his pledge during the Spurs Up Cookout on Saturday in Columbia.

The 6-foot, 187-pounder is ranked by Rivals.com as a two-star prospect.
