Yowk makes the call

The state of Delaware has a small but quality collection of talent in the Class of 2010 and Malcolm Yowk is one of the best.
Late last week the 5-foot-9, 170-pound all-purpose back from Camden (Dela.) Caesar Rodney announced where he will be playing his college ball.

"I committed to Delaware," Yowk explained on Saturday. "I did it Thursday around noon. I had visited a couple of times for two or three games. I visited during the spring, too. My parents had been up there as well.
"The first time I visited I just felt like it was a place I could see myself playing and being for four or five years. I thought it would be nice to stay in Delaware and play for the state of Delaware, to prove to people that Delaware does produce good players. Where better to do it than here? I think I knew I wanted to go to Delaware before recruiting even started for that reason."
In spite of that desire early in the process Yowk said he wanted to experience the recruiting scene. Delaware was number one all along, however.
Yowk had picked up offers from James Madison, Rutgers and Stanford prior to making his decision.
