Younger Falkins grabs first offer

New Orleans G.W. Carver has plenty of talent in its junior class. Rivals250 wide receiver Raheem Falkins is an early Alabama commit while running back Eugene Brazley pledged to Ole Miss on an unofficial visit this past weekend.
There is a sophomore with a familiar name coming up that is starting to receive interest too though. Niguel Falkins is the younger brother of Raheem and played quarterback, wide receiver, running back and free safety for Carver. He picked up his first offer from an SEC program this past weekend.

"There was definitely some good news," the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Falkins said. "I got offered by Ole Miss when I was down there.
"I sat down with the head coach and that's when I found out (they were offering). He said that he would be glad for me to come play there."
Falkins says that while the Rebels have a specific position at which they are recruiting him, he can project to a number of spots in college.
"They like me as a wide receiver," he said of Ole Miss. "I'm an athlete though. It really doesn't matter to me where I play. As of right now I'm just being recruited as an athlete overall."
With it still being incredibly early for the sophomore, Falkins has yet to truly start receiving interest from many other programs.
"I'm not really hearing from too many other schools so far," he said. "Ole Miss is really the only school so far I've had much contact with."
Falkins says he has not had time to develop a list of favorites yet either.
"I just have to take my time and look around," he said. "I'll have to see which schools I'm interested in."
