Young stays in state

Jersey Village, Texas, running back Selvin Young said he had to follow his heart, and his heart told him to stay home.
"It was just that Texas kids play for Texas teams," Young said. "I really loved what I saw at Oklahoma and Colorado. But in the end it just wasn't home. It wasn't Texas."

Young said he fought hard over the decision between Texas and Oklahoma for the past few weeks, but he decided to join the parade of recruits that have committed to Mack Brown's Longhorns over the past few days.
"I was reading on the Internet about how many guys they got," Young said. "I know they have good players, but I also know that I'm really good too. I'm not going to let that stop me from doing what I think I can do."
