Young returns from College Park

Union, S.C. offensive lineman Eric Young finally took his first official visit. So how did he like Maryland?
"I had a good time, the players and coaches all treated me well," said the 6-foot-4, 265-pounder. "All of the recruits were cool too. Coach Friedgen is a good guy."

So are the Terps in his future?
"I'm still considering them because I had a good time, but that's a bit further away from home than I wanted to go," he said. "The distance is a bit too much so I doubt I'll go there."
Young has Clemson on Jan. 10, South Carolina on Jan. 17, Tennessee on Jan. 24 and North Carolina on Jan. 31.
"USC and Tennessee are my top two schools right now," he said. "They both have dynamic coaches and are SEC schools. I guess USC is still the top choice because of location and that's also why Clemson is in there. I like the coaches at Clemson."
Young expects to take all five official visits before he decides. The talented lineman is ranked as the No. 8 offensive tackle in the country and is the No. 3 player in the state of South Carolina.
