Young ready for summer schedule

Waco (Texas) University offensive tackle Ryan Young knows what he'll be doing this summer, and college coaches will like to hear his plans.
"I am going to spend the summer going to football camps and working out," the 6-foot-7, 303-pound Young said. "I want to get bigger, faster and stronger. I think I can do that."

As for the camps, Young only has one locked in on his date book so far.
"I am going to Texas next Sunday (June 8) for their camp. That's the first one. I'm looking at Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Baylor too as possibilities."
Young has no plans to take any unofficial trips to colleges during the summer.
"I'm not sure about whether I'll go on any unofficials or not. I don't think so. At least right now, I'm not planning on any."
The month of May was a busy one for the talented tackle.
"We got a lot of phone calls. But, it was alright. I got to talk to a lot of the coaches and learn quite a bit more about their schools."
Three schools stuck out after the month had ended.
"I really remember Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma. Arkansas' coach really knew a lot of stuff about Waco. I was shocked. He knew quite a bit about my school too. He was a real nice guy to visit with and talk to. Oklahoma and Texas are easy to keep in your head. They are just good programs. I know I would have to work hard to get a spot at either of them. They both get a lot of wins each year and they go to bowl games every year."
Despite all of the activity, don't look for an early decision out of Young.
"I want to wait until my season is over and then take my trips. I want to get all of them in before I make a decision."
