Junior to Watch: Ryan Young
School: Waco (Texas) University

Position: Offensive Tackle
Size and Speed: Young is 6-foot-7 and 303-pounds. He has been timed at 4.90 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Honors: Young was chosen as an honorable mention member of the Super Centex team. He was also honored as a member of the all-district first team.
Favorite Schools: Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Georgia Tech are all expressing interest in Young to this point.
Skinny: "Ryan has not received any scholarship offers yet," Waco University coach Leroy Coleman said. "He is getting a lot of mail from schools already though. He isn't cutting schools off of his list at this time either. It is too early to be doing that type of thing."
Coleman believes his standout tackle offers a lot to the colleges that are recruiting him.
"Ryan is a big kid. He's a strong kid. Schools are looking for big kids, strong kids, and quick kids. Ryan is getting the looks because he fits that billing. He's a hard worker and he'll continue to get better. He even has speed, with a 4.9 40-yard dash, that most guys that big don't have."
Young also has things in order academically.
"Schools like it when they know a kid isn't going to cause any problems on the academic side of things. Ryan has that in line. His grades are good and things are progressing along those lines just like you'd like to see."
