Young names new leader

Union, S.C. offensive tackle Eric Young is one of the most coveted recruits on the east coast. Now that he has three official visits under his belt, is he ready to make a decision?
“Not yet, but my visit to South Carolina was great. I had an awesome time hanging out with everyone and my teammate, David Smith, was working on me pretty good to commit,” said the 6-foot-4, 270-pounder. “I liked South Carolina the best so far and I’ll probably only take one more visit. Coach Holtz is coming to see me this week and I’m pretty sure they’ll want me to commit, but I’d like to see Tennessee and I still like Clemson.”

Young has already visited Maryland and Clemson and has Tennessee (Jan. 24) and North Carolina (Jan. 31) left on his schedule.
“Like I said, I probably won’t need a visit on Jan. 31,” he said. “But I want to see Tennessee first.”
Young is ranked as the No. 3 player in the state of South Carolina.
