Young favoring an in-state school

Bradenton (Fla.) Braden River three-star offensive tackle Trevon Young claims offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Iowa State, Purdue, and Tennessee State. He believes he is on the verge of landing his next verbal offer.
"I have heard that Hawaii is supposed to offer me," Young said. "I have to talk to the coach there about it more, but they are close to offering me."

Others such as Ball State, Clemson, Jacksonville, Memphis, and South Florida have shown interest in the 6-foot-5, 274-pound offensive lineman.
He has yet to see any schools this summer but is hoping to change that in the near future.
"I haven't visited any schools yet," Young said. "Later this month I am supposed to go on a van tour of a couple of schools for visits. I think we are supposed to go to Georgia, Clemson, and a couple of others.
"I want to visit Purdue, FIU, FAU, Clemson, and Memphis," Young added.
At this stage of the process, the Sunshine State prospect is favoring an in-state school.
"The school that stands out the most to me right now is FIU," Young said. "It is close to home and I have heard they have an upcoming program and that they are starting to look good."
The Golden Panthers aren't on the verge of a commitment though, as Young isn't in a rush to make a decision.
"Sometime next year after the football season is over with," Young said when asked when he wants to decide.
