Young down to three

Clearwater (Fla.) Catholic offensive lineman Kevin Young got an early offer from Florida State. It took a while for his second offer to come through, but once it did the flood gates have opened and Young now has over a dozen offers. He's also narrowed his list down to three schools.
"I have pretty much narrowed it down to three schools and the others are out of it," Young said. "Miami, South Carolina and Florida State are the three schools I'm looking at. All three of those are equal and I'm going to focus on learning more about them."

The 6-foot-5, 317-pound Young attended the NIKE camp in Tallahassee where he ran the 40-yard dash in 5.34 seconds, ran the shuttle in 4.75 seconds and posted a 20-inch vertical jump.
"Miami got back in it about two weeks ago when I went down there," Young said. "I toured the school and had a meeting with coach Coker and coach Kehoe. They have a great education program, but they are very deep on the offensive line. Florida State and South Carolina both need lineman really bad and that helps them."
Young is ranked as the No. 68 player in the state of Florida by Rivals.com and is a three star prospect.
"Right now I plan on going to at least one game at each school," Young said. "I really want to catch the Miami-Florida State game since it has two of my three favorites. I know I'm going to be catching some Saturday games though and I will take official visits to each school. I plan on waiting a while to decide. It will probably be after the season before I decide."
Last week Young took an unofficial visit to Syracuse and he was offered a scholarship on his visit.
