Yes Virginia, the class of 2006 is very gifted
Recently, it seems that each recruiting class in the state of Virginia has been compared to the great haul of 2002.

That year, players like Marcus Vick, Ahmad Brooks, Kai Parham, Mike Johnson and Anthony Martinez were all Rivals100 members and standouts like Levi Jones and Jonathan Lewis emerged as well.
While each class since has had its share of top players, none have been able to match up when it comes to star talent and depth…until this year.
The class of 2006 for the state of Virginia is a rare bird indeed. Not only does it challenge 2002 when it comes to stars and depth, but it's topped by a position that has long been weak in the state.
Since and including 2002, there has been at least one standout wide receiver in each class. This year there are four, and they represent the top four players in the state.
Led by the nation's No. 1 player, Percy Harvin from Landstown High School in Virginia Beach, Va., is the place to find wide receivers in the Atlantic East this year. Chris Bell, Brandon Caleb and Damon McDaniel round out the group at the top of the heap until Highland Springs linebacker Jarrell Miller crashes the party.
If colleges aren't looking for wide outs, they can certainly come to Virginia to find defensive linemen, another position that dominates the top half of the Virginia Top 30.
