Yelton back from visit, schedules one

Chesterton, Ind., kicker and punter Kyle Yelton made an unofficial visit to Western Michigan over the weekend. While there he scheduled an official visit.
"I just set up my first official visit," Yelton said. "I went to Western Michigan's game this weekend. It was pretty good. We set up an official visit Jan. 13."

However Yelton says a Big Ten school sits at the top of his list.
"I went to the Illinois-Penn State game at Illinois. I'm going to the Northwestern at Illinois game. Illinois would be my No. 1 school. I've been down there so much. I like it there."
With his senior football season over, recruiting will occupy much of Yelton's time.
"With the season over I can focus on recruiting," Yelton said. "Duke wants film. We sent film to Nebraska. Ball State is coming on. Wyoming was here Wednesday. They talked to my coach.
"December is going to be important for me. We'll see what happens."
The 6-foot-1 and 180-pound Yelton averaged 42 yards per punt, and his long field goal came from 38 yards during his senior season.
