Izaan Cross, a defensive end from Flowery Branch (Ga.) High School, made his decision and committed to Georgia Tech over a host of schools. Cross, 6-3 and 253 pounds, decided on his first official visit to any school. That visit was to the Yellow Jackets this weekend.
"I committed this morning," Cross said. "Georgia Tech is just the best fit for me. I really got along well with the players and the school is great. Coach (Paul) Johnson did a great job this season. I was anxious to see how they would play and Georgia Tech certainly answered all of my questions. They have a young defense and I really like all the coaches."
Flowery Branch finished up 12-3, after losing in the state title game to Cairo. On the year Cross had 115 tackles, 13 sacks and 20 tackles for a loss.
