Yarnway lands offer No. 1

It took a little longer than we expected but San Francisco (Calif.) Sacred Heart running back Dasarte Yarnway picked up his first scholarship offer. The offer is expected to be the first of many for one of the region's top backs.
Yarnway, 6-0, 215 pounds has been one of the state's top backs since his sophomore year. He earned all-state underclass honors for the second year in a row this past season after rushing for 1,408 yards and 19 touchdowns.

As for the offer, one school that we've noticed being very aggressive this year is Washington State and the Cougars are the first to offer Yarnway as well.
"It was a surprise because I didnt know that they were recruiting me," Yarnway said. "My coach told me about the offer and I was very excited to get my first one.
"Jason Hill played for us at Sacred Heart and went to Washington State so I'm sure they are welcoming kids from our area. I'm going to give them a look because they were first to pull the trigger, it takes a lot for people to make a decision in everyday life.I know its a big decision to decide to offer a kid.
"In addition to Washington State, I'm also hearing from Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Arizona State and Cal. USC is also having a coaching clinic at my school so I expect to hear from them soon."
