XLK says Florida is tight

Xavier Lawson Kennedy is back from Florida and he gave the visit high marks – especially when looking at the Gator’s depth chart.

“I tell you what,” Lawson Kennedy said. “If you want to play right away, then Florida is the spot for defensive tackles. They only have three or so on campus and they need guys like me that can come in and make big plays right away.
“Coach Zook is an intense guy, but he also cracks me up. He knows how to have fun, too.”
But did that mean that Florida is going to make a push to the top or is Lawson Kennedy still keeping with his plans to himself.
“Yeah, I’m still sitting with two teams in my head,” he said. “I’ve already unofficially eliminated two, too. But I’m sticking with my plan to not tell anybody who those two teams are and allowing the coaches to call and still recruit me.”
Lawson Kennedy, the No. 2 defensive tackle, will take his fifth and final official visit to Miami this upcoming weekend. He has visited Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Arkansas.
