“I’m going to Oklahoma State,” Lawson Kennedy said.
Lawson Kennedy picked Oklahoma State over Oklahoma and Texas A&M in his final three. Lawson Kennedy, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 4 defensive tackle, is 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds.
Rivals100.com will have more details shortly.
Lawson Kennedy had 102 tackles, 10 sacks, 69 quarterback hurries and 32 tackles for loss as a junior. That impressive junior season earned him first-team all-district honors. He was banged up some as a senior, but is still considered one of the nation’s elite prospects at his position.
“He’s got great work ethic and great attitude,” Dan Schreiber, Lawson Kennedy’s coach, said. “Physically, he’s awesome. But the best part about him is that he works hard and has a great attitude. He pretty much does it all.
Lawson Kennedy joins teammate Tommy Devereaux as a Cowboy, along with former teammates Vernon Grant and Daniel McLemore.
“I’m very happy that it has come to an end,” Lawson Kennedy said. “I made the correct decision for my life.”
