Xavier Mitchell commits to Vols
Four-star Long Beach (Miss.) defensive end Xavier Mitchell is headed to Rocky Top for his college career.
Mitchell confirmed his commitment to the Volunteers with us tonight.

"I made my decision last night," he said. "In a nutshell, it came down to a real hard decision between Tennessee and Ole Miss.
"It came down to how comfortable I felt at Tennessee when I was up there. I felt good at both places, but as a whole, I really loved the coaches up at Tennessee, the whole atmosphere there, and I like the opportunity they have for me.
"It was between them for the longest time, and it just kept juggling back and forth from one to the other. But I was always leaning to Tennessee."
Mitchell (6-4, 245, 4.8) is rated the No. 8 strongside defensive end in the nation by Rivals.com.
