Wyoming team to beat on RB

Minneapolis (Minn.) De La Salle running back Alexander Robinson impressed enough at the Manhattan NIKE Training Camp to get a scholarship offer from one of the nation's up-and-coming programs right after it.
"I have one offer and it's from Wyoming," Robinson said. "They saw me at the NIKE camp at K-State, and really liked what they saw. They checked on my grades and then a few days later, I got an offer. I talked to the coaches there and they want me to come up to a senior day in a few weeks.

"It's a long trip, but we think it'll be worth it. They're an up-and-coming program that beat a very good UCLA team last year in a bowl game."
Robinson camped this summer at Wisconsin and Iowa State. He said he did all right at both camps and felt like he still could improve his game, so that's why he's been working hard.
"I've been lifting and running a lot," he said. "I just want to improve everything – my pass blocking, my ability to be physical, catching the ball out of the backfield. I just want to be a better player in every aspect."
Robinson hopes to get more opportunities to run the ball this season. He has a new coach and he's install the I-formation, something that might suit the 5-foot-10, 168-pound running back better. He had only 761 yards rushing last season, and he hopes to top the 1,000 yard mark in the new sceme.
"The new coach says he likes his backs to carry the ball 25-30 times a game," Robinson, ranked as the No. 10 player in Minnesota by Rivals.com, said. "I like the sound of that."
